This fellowship was started in 1990. Pastor Miller and his wife, Sis. Miller, wanted to help three newly formed churches in the urban areas of Morgantown. The churches were given personnel support as well as monetary support so that they could grow.

These churches have in turn helped other churches. This process is perpetuated by each church that is helped.

The New Hope Fellowship offers a convention and conference each year that is a time of refreshing and restoration for its members. Preachers, singers, and choirs that are not a part of the fellowship are brought in to ministers to the members of the Fellowship.

New Hope Fellowship of Churches is home to 33 churches. All of the churches have pledged to help other churches. All of the churches are members of the Greater Buelahland Fellowship.
